If you have a semi-circle with a diameter of 8.6ft, what's the semi-circles area?

So,

The diameter is 8.6ft.  We need to convert to radius.

2 radius = 1 diameter

8.6/2 = 4.3 ft.

[tex] \pi r{2} [/tex]

[tex] \pi 4.3^{2} [/tex]

[tex] \pi 18.49[/tex]

3.14(18.49)

58.0586ft.²

Divide by 2 (semi-circle)
29.0293ft.²
