what is the solution of y=3x-4 and y=-2x+1?

subtract the two equations

y = -2x + 1
-(y = 3x - 4)
-----------------
0 = -5x + 5

then 5x = 5
x = 1

use this to find y
y = -2(1) + 1
y = -1
