What is the 90° angle plus the 40° angle

An obtuse because a 40• angle is acute and 90• angle is regular so it is obtuse

It would be obtuse because an obtuse angle is anything over 90 degrees.  90+40=130.  Therefore, since 130 is greater than 90, it is an obtuse angle
